Very warm welcome from staff member Domo as soon as I came in. Helped me get my bearings of the area in Fukuoka. Loved that the Hostel was able to hold my luggage as I came in before check-in time The hostel has a secure entrance to both the hostel building itself and the dorms. There are stairs but also an elevator. Cleaniest hostel ive been to to-date. Dorms were cleaned daily, and the fellow guests I stayed with with courteous and respectful in keeping the dorms clean and tidy. I appreciated how clean the building was. No mold found in the showers. Carpets were free of debris. I actually felt comfortable due to cleaning standards to walk barefoot on the carpet, a first for me. Fridge unit is in the dorms, a small area set in the side area of the dorm is available to eat food or lounge. Microwave and electric kettle provided for meals. Toilets and showers separated. 2 toilets and 2 showers available, no wait times, was interesting layout I enjoyed. Shower itself was quiet small. But the shower room was spacious. Had a bench and basket to store your items while you showered. Bed was spacious, did not have a bunk bed, so I feel my unit has an edge due to the entry was from the side and not from the foot of the bed. Hooks provided for single beds which was attached to the bed frame. My bed did not have a shelf for luggage storage but the bunks did, large luggages could be stored easily. AC was working throughout my time there which was very nice. Location was close to many convenience stores. Walking distance to several bus stops and metros, shops, malls, kawabata arcade shopping strip, and restaurants.

I stayed for nine days and eight nights. My visit was to catch up with friends and to process my visa at the Embassy. Due to the incredibly hot and humid weather, I spent most of my days inside my dorm. The hostel was cozy, with strong internet reception that allowed me to work remotely and drapes for privacy. The bed was extremely comfortable and came with a lockable cabinet for valuables. The kitchen was equipped with a large refrigerator, microwave, teapot, and sink, making it convenient to prepare coffee, heat meals, and store groceries. Showers and facilities are excellent, and laundry is available too. The hostel is easily accessible, just a short walk from the airport's free shuttle to the Subway-Airport line (K13), four stops away from Nakasu-Kawabata (K09), exit 7 (Theatre and Art Museum is here too.). After taking two escalators and turning right, a ten-minute straight walk leads you to the hostel on the right. Look for bicycles parked out front, so you don't miss it. Nearby are two convenience stores, Lawson and Family Mart, and a bakery in a pleasant residential area. The staff are exceptional, speaking English fluently, and there's a nice 24-hour meeting area and a bar open from 7:30 pm until 10 pm. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Common De Hostel and plan to return.

We booked the double room since it seemed to have the best rates in Fukuoka. It is good to reach (way closer to the subway than it seems on the map, i.e., 7 mins to the next subway, buses are even closer) and in a central, quiet neighbourhood. The staff spoke good English and were very friendly. You'll also find a lovely community space and bar there. The room was small but offered everything we needed and was nicely designed (industrial style). The room was clean. For those that require daily room cleaning, the hotel does not offer daily complete room cleaning, which was fine for us. Unfortunately, they had Wifi problems during our stay period, but they offered to lend us a pocket wifi device instead.

I just stayed for a few nights. The asthetic of the place is exactly my cup of tea, so for me it's really beautiful. If I had known how cool and lovely this place is, I would have just stayed in Fukuoka for my whole trip. Not only was the staff awesome and so damn friendly, but I also met some of the other guests at the bar, and we had a great time. Would have loved to stay longer, and if I come back to Japan, I will stay there again because they made me feel home the minute I walked in. And every person in Fukuoka I interacted with was super nice and cheerful. It is a great and cool place to be.

location was pretty good, everywhere around Fukuoka is mostly within walking distance, the staff were great and very friendly, check-in was easy etc. The rooms are clean and include a safety deposit box which is always handy. Is a great place to stay for solo travellers being able to meet at the bar. The bartenders were always chatty and helpful and the pour-over coffee available in the mornings is super tasty, the barista is fantastic.
